Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone in Orlando.

 

At approximately 2am on June 12, the gay nightclub Pulse in Orlando was the scene of an unprecedented horrific mass shooting which caused the injury or death of over 100 victims.

 

TOKYO RAINBOW PRIDE extends its deepest condolences to all those who were senselessly targeted in this hateful crime.

 

June, “Pride Month”, plays host to numerous pride events around the world. We hope and pray that no other event plays witness to such an abhorrent act, and wish to express our solidarity with all those who bravely refuse to be cowed by hateful violence and instead choose to continue to celebrate their pride.

オーランドへ祈りをこめて

 

６月12日午前２時頃、アメリカのフロリダ州オーランドにあるゲイクラブ「Pulse」で、銃乱射事件がありました。100人を超える死傷者を出す、アメリカ史上最悪の無差別銃撃事件となってしまいました。

ヘイト（憎悪）の標的になって被害を受けた方々をお見舞いするとともに、亡くなられた方々に対し、謹んで哀悼の意を表します。

 

６月は、世界各地でプライドパレードをはじめ、さまざまなイベントが開催される「プライド月間」です。二度とこのような惨劇が繰り返されないことを願うとともに、暴力に屈することなく「プライド」をお祝いする人々との連帯をここに表明します。
